Dr. Michaud has lived in Vancouver for over 20 years. After graduating from Mt. View High School, he studied at Clark College and then went on to complete B.S. in Biology at Portland State University.  Since he wanted to keep his growing family in the Northwest, he made O.H.S.U. School of Dentistry his first choice. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Clark County Dental Society, Washington Dental Association and the Seattle Study Club.

    Dr. Derek is married to Stephanie, who met each other when they were just 8 years old. They have four children, three boys and their little girl. Their oldest attends Mt. View High School and the youngest is just starting pre-school. He coaches two soccer teams through VUSA soccer, basketball and baseball with Cascade Little League. Stephanie is in the process of applying to Clark College nursing program and they look forward to doing volunteer nursing and dentistry together, both here and abroad.

 

                                                

    

    Dr. Derek believes continuing education and compassion for the people we share our community with are the keys to providing the highest quality of care. He and his team are committed to providing quality and comfort at each patient's visit.  His focus is on helping patients fully understand their dental concerns, giving them all their options so they can make informed decisions for themselves, and guiding them towards improved dental health.
